Summary Itinerary.
Day 1; Transfer from Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park
0600hrs, depart from Nairobi and begin your adventure with an early morning departure. Enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside, watching as the urban landscape gives way to the picturesque savannah. At about 0930hrs, you will arrive in Tsavo East National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the vast expanse of the park, home to iconic red elephants and diverse elephants. Embark on a game drive through the park at 1000hrs and look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, and various antelope species. Enjoy picnic lunch in a designated picnic area at about 1300hrs, surrounded by nature. Proceed for an afternoon game drive at 1400hrs and continue exploring the park. Visit the famous Aruba Dam, a hotspot for wildlife especially during the dry season. Check in to the hotel or lodge within Tsavo East at about 1700hrs. Relax and refresh before dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2; Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park.
0630hrs, rise early for a morning drive through the wild. The wildlife is most active during this time, providing excellent opportunities for photography. At about 0900hrs, return back to the lodge and enjoy a hearty breakfast, fueling up fo the day ahead. Check out of the hotel and depart for Tsavo West. Enjoy the scenic landscapes along the way. At 1130hrs, arrive at Tsavo West known for its stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. At 1200hrs, visit and explore Mzima Springs, where you can view hippos and crocodiles from the underwater viewing tanks. At 1400hrs, enjoy picnic lunch surrounded by nature. Depart for an afternoon game drive at 1500hrs and continue your adventure in Tsavo West, searching for the Big Five. Don’t miss the breathtaking views from the shetani Lava Flow. At about 1830hrs, head back to the lodge and have dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3; Tsavo West to Mombasa
At 0600hrs, set out for a sunrise game drive, capturing the beauty of the park as it comes to life. At 0830hrs, return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out. Depart for Mombasa at 1000hrs and enjoy the drive to Mombasa. Its approximately 2hrs and 30 minutes drive. Arrive in Mombasa at 1230hrs and check in to your beach resort and take a moment to relax. Have lunch at 1300hrs, at the resort. At about 1400hrs, after lunch set out to explore Fort Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Learn about its rich history and enjoy stunning views of the ocean. At 1700hrs, return back to the resort and relax by the pool or on the beach, before enjoying dinner and overnight at the hotel at 1900hrs.
Day 4; A Day in Mombasa
0800hrs, enjoy leisurely breakfast at the hotel with views of Indian Ocean. At about 0930hrs, set out to the beach and engage in various water sports activities such as snorkeling, jet skiing, or paddleboarding. Experience the vibrant marine life of the indian Ocean. At 1230hrs, enjoy lunch at the hotel and after lunch, at 1400hrs, spend the afternoon sunbathing, swimming, or reading by the beach. At 1600hrs, visit the Old Town Mombasa and explore the narrow streets of Old Town, admiring the Swahili architecture and local markets. At 1830hrs, drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5; Transfer from Mombasa to Nairobi
0730hrs, have breakfast and check out of the the hotel. At 0900hrs, begin your journey back to Nairobi, taking sights one last time. At 1230hrs, stop for lunch enroute at a roadside restaurant, experiencing local flavors. Lunch will be at own cost. Arrive in Nairobi at 1600hrs and drop of at your residence or hotel.
