ITINERARY
OPTION 1: L. NAKURU NATIONAL PARK SAFARI
DAY 1: Nairobi to L. Nakuru
- Depart Nairobi, at your own convenience, preferably around 0700hrs for an early arrival
- Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with a scenic stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic photos
- Arrive at your lodge or hotel near the park and check in and relax
- After lunch, enter L. Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive (approx 1500hrs – 1800hrs). Explore the park’s diverse landscapes, from the lake edge to the forested hills. Spot rhinos, flamingos, giraffes, and possibly lions or leopards
- Drive up to Baboon Cliff for a sweeping view of the lake and its surroundings, perfect spot for sunsets
- Return to the lodge to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay
DAY 2: L. Nakuru to Nairobi
- Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodges, then out for an optional short morning game drive if staying inside the park or nearby
- Take time for some final photos or a brief nature walk within the lodge grounds
- Check out by 1000hrs and begin your return journey to Nairobi. Marking the end of your safari
OPTION 2: L. NAIVASHA & CRESENT ISLAND SAFARI
DAY 1: From Nairobi to L. Naivasha
- Depart Nairobi, at around 0800hrs for a smooth one and half drive to Naivasha
- Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with a scenic stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic photos
- Arrive at your preferred lakeside resort by 0930hrs to 1000hrs, check in, and enjoy a welcome refreshing welcome drink
- After lunch, embark on a scenic boat ride across Lake Naivasha (1500hrs to 1600hrs). Get up close with hippos, watch African fish eagles dive for fish, and enjoy the calm beauty of the open water
- The boat will drop you at Crescent Island, where a guided walking safari lets you stroll among free roaming giraffes, zebras and antelopes all in a predator free zone
- At 1700hrs, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay, enjoying the peaceful lakeside setting
DAY 2: Optional Hell’s Gate Visit & Return to Nairobi
- After breakfast at 0730hrs, you can choose to relax at the lodge or take a self drive to Hell’s Gate National Park
- At Hell’s Gate, enjoy cycling past wild animals or hiking through gorges with a local guide
- Return to the lodge at around 1000hrs, freshen up and check out. Begin your return drive to Nairobi, enjoying the marvels of nature en route. Arrive in Nairobi at around 1300hrs, marking the end of your safari
OPTION 3: LAKE ELEMENTAITA SAFARI
DAY 1: From Nairobi to L. Elementaita
- Leave Nairobi by around 0800hrs for relaxing two to three hour drive.
- Arrive at your serene lakeside lodge by 1100hrs, check in, and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink
- After lunch, embark on a guided nature walk along the shores of Lake Elementaita (1500hrs to 1700hrs). This quiet area offers incredible birdwatching from flamingos to pelicans and hornbills
- Take in the sunset views from the lodge terrace or lakeside viewpoint, a perfect way to end the day
- Enjoy dinner and a quiet night in the calm, natural setting
DAY 2: Leisure Morning & Return to Nairobi
- Start your day with a leisurely breakfast around 0730hrs. After breakfast, proceed for an optional short walk for birdwatching or relaxation at the lodge
- Check out by 1000hrs and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Marking the end of your 2 days safari
