ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi – Mombasa – Diani Transfer & Coastal Arrival

0600hrs – Your coastal departure begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. For SGR clients, we’ll transfer you to Nairobi Terminus at Syokimau for Madaraka Express Train. Sit back and enjoy the scenic and enjoy the scenic 6 hour journey through the Kenyan countryside, Tsavo’s wild plains, and lush coastlines. For Flight option, you’ll be dropped at Wilson Airport or JKIA for your 1 hr flight. The aerial views over Mt. Kilimanjaro and Indian Ocean are unforgettable.

1400hrs – Upon arrival in Mombasa (either at the terminus or airport), you’ll be met by our professional coastal driver. You’ll then drive south, crossing the bustling Likoni Ferry with views of the busy port and Swahili life. From here, the journey becomes increasingly scenic as you head through coconut groves, local markets, and coral villages en route to Diani.

1500hrs – Upon arrival in  your hotel in Diani ,you’ll receive a warm Swahili welcome with a cool towel and tropical juice as you check in to your beautiful beachfront resort. Relax in your sea facing room, take in the view and breathe in the salty ocean breeze.

1600hrs –  Spend your first afternoon soaking in Diani’s beauty. Take a stroll along the expansive beach, soft sand underfoot, shells scattered along the shore, and the blue ocean stretching endlessly before you. You may choose to lie by the pool, dip in the ocean, or sip a coconut drink while watching kite surfers.

1800hrs –  Proceed for an optional Sunset Dhow Cruise. For magical start to your stay, we recommend booking a sunset dhow cruise. This traditional wooden sailing boat glides across the Indian Ocean as the sun sinks into the horizon. Enjoy light snacks, fresh coconut juice or wine and picture perfect moments.

1900hrs –  Enjoy dinner served under the stars at your resort or a local seafood grill followed by an overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Optional Excursion or Beach Leisure

0700hrs – Begin your day with tropical buffet breakfast. Fresh fruits, eggs, coastal mandazis and passion juice or whatever you will be offered at the resort.

0800hrs – Proceed for an optional full day excursion at Wasini Island. We highly recommend a trip to Wasini Island & Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, Kenya’s top marine adventure. Upon arrival, sail through marine waters known for dolphins. Explore coral reefs teeming with colorful fish, starfish, sea turtles. Get a chance to visit Wasini Island village and get a cultural walk through coral stone houses and ancient Swahili ruins followed by seafood lunch served in a palm thatched island restaurant.

1700hrs – Return to Diani, just in time to unwind. Indulge in a beachfront massage, reflexology or full body treatments at the hotel/resort.

1930hrs – Enjoy your final dinner at the hotel and relax letting the ocean breeze lull you into bliss followed by overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Final Moments in Paradise & Return to Nairobi

0700hrs – Wake early and walk down to the beach to catch the sunrise over the Indian Ocean. The Peace of dawn in Diani is unmatched, perfect for quiet reflection, meditation or morning yoga.

0830hrs – Enjoy a final tropical breakfast before checking out.

1000hrs – Depart Diani and cross back via Likoni Ferry. Depending on your mode of transport, For SGR option, arrive in Mombasa Terminus for your afternoon train to Nairobi. For the flight option, transfer to Moi International Airport for your flight back.

2000hrs – Upon arrival in Nairobi, our driver will be waiting to transfer you back home or to your hotel. End of safari with beautiful memories.
